I am finally going to add a mechanical guage to compare with my elect factory guage. There is a port right in front of the TB that is plugged. Is this a safe and effective place to add this type of guage? Is it deep enough?

I am too cheap to pay the guy down the road 20 bucks to test my guage against my actual coolant temp.

rjfguitar you gotta know the answer to this. Your one of the guys that told me to do it. /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

ON my edelbrock performer intake manifold, there was a plug just to the right of the thermostat (standing in front of the truck facing the windshield). My guess is that any hole you can find on the intake near the t-stat should work just fine. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
