Ok so my truck has xover steering from ORD...
I have some serious play while driving.. I hit a rut and the truck wonders on the road...

now when I went with XOVER... I couldn't get my steering box off (hoses wouldn't come off) so I simply took the internals out of each gear box and swapped them...

so I am thinking the nut/screw on top is the adjuster...
so can someone educate me on how to adjust that? or is that not what that is for?

You insert a Allen wrench and loosen putter nut, then very small amount turn Allen wrench and then tighten nut down and test. Keep doing till you like feel don't go to much though!

lol ill try not to overdue it but I'm an overduer... ill do it tomorrow so will report back... thanks...

box has to be centered !

loosen nylock nut holding center strew with allen .

adjust center screw down till just hits / tiny snug . back off just a hair and hold when jambing the nut tight .

works for me and was told this buy a old gm tech .

thx guys.. I got a FULL turn out of the screw.... LOL... so snugged then backed off... will be driving tomorrow to see if that was it...
