Hi you all!

I've been learning a lot since I joined the sight. Lots of great builds, ideas, and people here. Kudos to you all.

I've been wondering. what's the advantage of 52" springs in the front??

Aside from price and availability.

planning a build, just getting the concept together.

Thanks!!

p.s., I tried the search feature, but it gave me everything but the advantages.

52's are suited for someone who's wheeling hard.. you will need crossover, long travel shocks, and possibly even limiting straps and bump stops. Overall unless your doing technical rock crawling, lift springs a raised steering arm will be cheaper and still ride nice depending on the brand.

I see now. Thanks!

I'm doing a 2wd to 4wd conversion. I know it's not normally feasable, but I'm in possession of my ex's 4x, so i'm getting all the odd stuff from hers.

It'll be in running shape when she gets it back, just a 2wd with a stick front axle.
