i want too replace headlights on my 1995 c2500 and my 2002 subaru legacy. i see alot on ebay , anybody ever buy these, and from who! kind off scared too get screwed.

I bought one of those cheap $60 HID kits and it sucks! I put them in my 2008 F250 and they are horrible. It was a 35 watt 6500K set of HID's. My stock lights were way brighter, and yes I've re-aimed then numerous times. I'm going to get some Hella replacement bulbs. I friend has a set of the Hella's in his 2008 GMC and they are plenty bright for any condition.

If you are looking at the lenses, I would not buy the cheap ones on ebay. I got a good set of clear ones, TYC makes them. Really nice set. Bulbs- I bought a set of HID's, 6000k. Love them! I am going to get them for two others. I would look at a set like Phillips, not the cheap ones.

What can happen to the lens, i bough a se from LMC, then i found some on ebat autopal brand from an Indu guy and work good they are what they are so what do you want from them really, i have off road them for a couple of years, have HID lights in the for a while and they havent cracked or anything, i can get a set of thoose down here for a round $30 but the crystal aint clear it has lines on it (i dont like that), bough them for my mustang but the idiots gave me 2 RH glasses so when you turn the lights on you can see a slight difference in the lighting

I used aftermarket head light housings in my s10 after an accident because they were half the price of oe and looked cool. But shortly after(about a year)they turned yellow and started cracking.Looked like pooo.Swaped em out with another s10's oe ones and was much better.Oe ones are better even though they are more expencive when you concider how much longer they last and dont turn yellow.

the cheap housings arent too bad. Have them on my blazer now.

the cheap hid kits work well also. Ive had one last going on 4 years now. I also have a pair attached to some off road lights that have been going strong with alot of abuse.

Whatever you do, please dont put HIDs in stock housings. The output sucks, beam pattern sucks, and you blind other people.

I have bought lenses and HID kits off eBay and i don't have any complaints from either. The lenses weren't the best quality but I ended up selling them for the same price I bought them. And my HIDs are so much brighter than stock. I love them
