If you have the 1227747 ECM you will not need R3 across A-B, and you will not need R4. If you don't understand that, you can buy a reddevidriver aldl cable for 45 and be done.

I am an absolute rookie when it comes to this-however during some research on this DB9 connector--all my ports have 15 holes[on my laptop] not a DB9? am i missing something? Thanks

You may need to get a usb to serial adapter. In that case some of them are a bit touchy. You would be better buying the red devil driver aldl cable. That way you dont have to build anything and it just works.

ok found it------crack in the plug+ bad wire=most of the problem fixed----i still want to try to do the heated 02 sensor see if i get any more performance, its always been a little sluggish aftr the headers went on [alway s thought it was a back pressure-lack] could just be the 02 too far down the tube. Hopein to get that laptop adapter from santa to give me more insight...Thanks all you guys for info , its all appreciated.......Merry Xmas
