At some point, I'd like to put some different seats in the Blazer. I want more than the cheap plastic Summit type seats but the cost of high end suspension seats is just crazy so I'm not considering those. This is just a family wheeler, don't need any high speed cushy stuff and I don't want to be afraid of getting them muddy.

Whats everyone's opinion on these "tuner" seats from eBay?

Also, opinions on the seat belts included with these seats? I figure the flip latch or camlock latches are preferred but what about the ones with the OE style buckles?

I have a buddy who does upholstery. Most non name brand seats use cheap foam that breaks down quick. I have seen several of eBay type seats in his shop. They all have broken bolsters, some have broken frames, all have serious degraded foam. All of them are less than 2 years old.

We took several apart to see if we could make a couple good seats and just tossed em all.

They look exactly like the seats you linked. Oh also you better be skinny too

I like Crow, RCI, Simpson belts. If they won't SFI grade, the straps are too narrow and will likely tear you up in a roll over

I do hate to hear what you guys are saying but I figured it was too good to be true. The red flag I noticed was that no one uses any seats like these. Not sure what to do then...

I actually like my factory buckets and plan to go to 4 pt belts (I don't have any front belts right now) at some point. The truck will have a cage with bars behind the seats, is it going to be a PITA to "find" the shoulder belts while sitting in the seat?

My last question was referencing the factory high back Blazer seats.

I have cloth grand Cherokee seats late 90sish. I put harnesses in. Put a guide on the seatbelt bar. But that won't work with the blazer high backs.

I know you said you didn't want spend the money...But......After running the hard plastic seats for years and getting beat up, I went ahead and got some Corbeau Baja Ultras.
Now I look at a comfortable seat as one of the best investment you can make to your rig....Ranks right up there with lockers and good tires. I can spend hours and hours bouncing around and I still don't want to get out of the truck cause I'm nice and comfortable. In the end, it's money well spent.
As for belts, Corbeau 3" lap and 2" shoulder with a latch.

I used to have racetrim seats that were very uncomfortable after a few hours. Now I have smittybilt xrc seats and they are actually pretty good and not too expensive when they go on sale.

@FOR MUD I do get the benefit of a quality seat, I've ridden in the plastic race seats before and I agree they're awful. My problem is I would most likely be looking at 4 seats, this is where the price gets out of hand. I'm close to having the truck "finished" (ready to wheel) but I still have things I'd would rather spend that $1500-$2000 on first. I'm a procrastinator by trade so I'm sure everyone here knows the last thing I need is an excuse to what until I save enough money for fancy seats. LOL I guess I'll explore incorporating some belt guides like @blazinzuk suggested, I noticed the seats @obijuank5 posted have guide loops stitched onto the upper sides of the seat covers.

If they loops see any sun exposure for time they will fall apart. They are a little thin but last a few years on mine.

Look at some out of a Mitz Eclypse. I run plastic seats with 2" of good foam, DAILY.

You know, I've never been in to using later model seats in a truck but I'm beginning to think that is an option to more seriously consider. Having the factory belts built in would solve both issues.

Honestly I'm not familiar with anything specific but I'll be looking.
