Does anyone know of an aftermarket speedometer that will work with the digital VSS' - i.e. 1990 and newer vintage trucks?

Looking for something that looks from the 1960's, but works in the newer trucks.

Thanks.

Check out this link to how the VSS is layed out. Look at page 4.

You can use a speedometer that accepts a 2 (2000ppm) pulse or 4 (4000ppm) pulse depending on how you want to do the upgrade.

The stock speedometer uses a 2 pulse. So if you can find a 2 pulse speedometer that should work using existing setup.

You could also jump the wire off of the Cruise Control pin and run a 4 pulse speedometer. For that matter, you could use a 40 ppr or a 128ppr for that matter.

Sorry about not providing any specifics, but this should give you some information to get started looking...

Thanks for the link. Still hoping to find something that resembles a stock speedo and not have to use a stock one...
