Wondering if your anything like a friend of mine, he's 21 and romps the hell out of his Burb, and then when something breaks, it's always GM's fault,,,WHATEVER" /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif anyway, not trying to sound like an ass, but are you going on things alittle easy or beating the hell out of it like teenagers usually do. I am 31 and i remember those days of not really caring about how i was driving the cars. was alot of fun then, but now i realize that,,,,GEEZ, that gets expensive. /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

My buddies brother (age 17) has this ford truck he bought already lifted. I went wheeling with him, I think it was his first time. Well anyway, we were about to go through this water hole that this stock height 2WD CJ with a 360 already made it through. Then he slammed it to the floor and just barreled through this thing bouncing/bottoming out like crazy. Yup the thing stalled cause it sucked in water. I would say, he is young and stupid with no care about breaking stuff, I can say that about me to when I was 16 and 17 though /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif I'm 22 now, so I havent exactly phased outta the destructive era, but I usually do think before I act more often.

But, i'm still going to try and pull boggerless' "big" ford /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

yeah I am 18, have had my 91 for 3 years(even though my parents hassled me about gas money and selling it, and I even mowed yards to pay for the gas alone) and then I finally got a real job and I am in the middle of my engine swap. I ripped out the old 350/700r4 and I am swapping in a new 2001 6.0 chevy vortec/4l80e and also rebuilt the transfer case myself. And I am doing all of that and the wiring by myself, I have fabricated several new crossmembers, one for the clocked 241 and also for the engine crossmember, and also fixing up a set of hummvee runflats, and if you really are good at wiring schematics, I suggest doing the 6.0 swap because that engine is awesome once its in there. Next on the list is 44/14 axle swap. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

are you pimpin hos or dealin drugs ?
the reason I ask is how in the hell can you afford that engine if you were talking about mowing lawns for gas money /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
the new 6.0liters arent cheap even out of a wrecking yard.

Well I do know a gm tech that works at the local dealer so he gave me his employee discount. And I just mowed lawns to pay for about half of the truck and some gas. I did finally get a job when I was old enough, and worked for a contractor building houses and fixing tile roofs and payed off the rest of my truck, and saved up quite a bit. No more yards for me though, lol. I usually work during the summer for contractors saving it all and live/spend what I want during the year while I am in school, and then start all over again the next summer. Yeah it was quite a chunk for that motor(I almost cried handing over the cash), but it was worth it. Can you say, 350 hp, 415 trq, 18 mpg, and a 2 year gm warranty unlimited mileage. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
