Air fuel ration,
Is the higher the number, a richer or leaner mixtuer?

carbs run ideally around 13:1
and fuel injected cars are like 14.5:1
something like that
anyone know?
I know my quad likes 13:1 ish

For fuel injected engines the ratio is 14.68:1, now this is only under light load and throttle conditions, if you are in power enrichment mode your target afr will be lower in the 13.5-12.5 range. The optimal flame propagation is at .9 lambda which for gas is around 11.89:1
