When disassembling my '72 K5 for a frame-off restoration, I apparently did not pay close enough attention when removing the fresh air valve and did not see there was a bearing into which the valve extended into. Trying to go back together with it and I have not been able to locate any new parts at the usual parts sources. Any ideas before I start combing junk yards trying to find this part?

Found a bag that I had labeled for something else, emptied it out and thought "that's an odd looking part...could it possibly be...??" It seems to fit the hole perfectly and the valve fits perfectly as well, but it is 50 years old and brittle and I don't want to tear it trying to install it. It'd be great if I could source a new one.

Is was thinking when I saw 1st post it should be like a gromet.
Have no idea where to source a new one.
Thinking a 3/16" 24 threadzert in a flat washer, through a gromet, possibly use a small piece of tubing for any spacer needed

Is that donut a separate piece? If so, rubber rivnut & rubber grommet. Any junkyard part will be in the same condition...old

That rubber mounted nut looks similar to what held the voltage regulator onto the radiator support.

The bearing for the recirculate door is probably something that you will have to make. I haven't seen one for sale new.
Know anyone with a 3D printer?

Mark at Motor City K5 was kind enough to point me in the right direction with some photos of the actual part. With that, I was able to locate a part on eBay.image1.jpgimage2.jpg
