im looking for a set of ak 57 arms-the piece that goes between the spring hanger and the spring- or the measurements for them.i dont need the whole kit as i have springs already.thanks

I don't know of anyone who makes these now......

A few guys in AZ still run the system. I can provide pics and approximate dimensions if you like to make your own.

PM me if you like....

Marv

Whats so hard about PM'img Marv ( the inventor ) , or one of the AZ guys , who knows maybe one of us can walk 50 feet and snap a pic :wink1:. These were all over in front of me this weekend . Two trucks ran with it this last weekend . Pics and measurements would of been easy . FWIW , I even know where a poor old set is crying right now , because someone doesn't wheel it . That set doesn't deserve to just sit there all lonely while the kid that owns it lets it sit there

Ohhh , OK . Wasn't being mean . Well , between life , welding , and wheeling , I can say Marv has been busy . Betcha he's doing something for the trip they're taking now . I can measure those in my backyard for ya :D

sell me yours!!!!!! lol i know everybody is busy and i finaly have time to get mine in the shop and start working on it.the measurements would be great. thanks

Going by pure memory and never having measuered them.

Put some bushings on a pice of heavy wall square tubing. The stock spring location is roughly 52" from the front mount of the rear spring. The new springs are going to be 57" long. You need to bridge the 5" difference with the block and bushing set up. Have a bump stop for the up travel of the block, and the design will limit its own down travel. You can rake the shackle angle slightly to gain a softer ride if you wish.

Also, [noted sarcasim]
If you tow a trailer with it you will die... and take out a bus full of nuns
If you go down a hill with it you will die... and take out a bus full of nuns
If you wheel hard with it you will die... and take out a bus full of nuns
If you daily drive with it you will die... and take out a bus full of nuns

This should sum up the last 4 years of the springer suspension debate.

(I really should stop replying after 11PM or I am probably going to get a nasty gram from a mod by x-mas :D )

lol Marv, thats some funny chit. :haha: Your design is a heck of a lot better than revolvers are, and somehow I have managed not to kill any nuns (let alone a bus load!) in the several years I have run them. :thumb:
