Why you need to move the spring mounts

That's all I've got for now. There are some threads I didn't include because their validity and importance is trivial. If there's a thread that you know of that should be added, post it up. Hopefully this answers most questions if people bother to read these before the start a new thread that's been answered before.

Oh, and just so this shows up in a search I'm gonna throw some keywords down here. spring swap lift tuff country tough 52 56 52" 56" front 3/4 ton mcdonalds and french fries clearance axle move relocation kit rough search more often jekbrown shocks ford towers 14" travel

I doubt it'll get stickied as I believe that's left strictly for admin purposes, but when someone starts a new thread they can be referred to this if they haven't seen it.

In that case.... Add to Favorites! Copy/Paste :D

Outstanding work my friend, the info was definitely spread out to the point where it was difficult to find definitive information. I tried to rectify that problem with my write-up, but people came up with some clever questions I never thought to address. Perhaps I will add some of that info to the write-up upon completion.

In any case, this post should be a sticky...

what might be better than a sticky is to link this into your write up jekbrown. i know i always ignore stickys. they just get in the way. my .02

Man I wish I knew all this stuff a year ago before I purchased my lift for 600 bones.... Cause now I'm goign to a junkyard finding 52's and 56's and doing this, and ditching the lift I spent money on. funny how it works out like that but excellent info.

2" lift 52's

does anyone know how much your shackle angle will chenge with every 1/2" of rear hanger movement? hey mtmike or anyone who can help me .im about to do the 2" lift 52" swap up front and i saw the post about your shackle angle sucked because of the arcin the springs.. im also gonna be running 7.25" eye to eye shackles so you think that moving your rear hanger up another 1/2" than the stock 52" swap would give me the proper shackle angle?

And here we go!

To The Top!

Hey, I can't make it a sticky but I sure the hell can bump it up close. It's time this went back up.
Travis

Ever since I made this I've hardly seen any 52" swap threads posted. :doah:

I should have a decent amount of free time in the coming weeks, any requests for other topics I should make a compilation of threads for?

Yeah that one would take awhile :haha:

This was an awesome compilation though. Jekbrown should put this link in his writeup, or make it a sticky something so people can see it easily

How about a Beaver Oil compilation thread in the lounge if you are really bored :haha:
