All things Drag Racing.

Okay, maybe you know my cars combo…..355, 10.1:1, 518/497 lift 238/248 @ .050 solid flat tappet, competition prepped double humps w 2.02/1.60’s, rpm air gap port matched, 750 vac sec holley, 1-7/8 hooker sidemounts. Full manual (no trans brake) T400 w 2600 convertor, 3.90 gear on a 225/60/16 street tire. I feel like Ive got the most out of it I can, and half the passes are incurring some tire spin as it is right now. I have more extensive plans to help w that over the winter hopefully, but in the meantime I have a few new parts to try before the test and tune season closes. Victor jr intake, Phoenix trans (Greg Ducato) 3400 torque convertor, and a factory refurbished Brawler 750 mech sec. carb. What are your thoughts on changing those three parts? I’m thinking about putting the convertor in, as that would take the most time, then heading to the track and making a few passes, then changing the carb for a few more, hopefully on the same day. Then maybe changing intakes at home and going for another visit and trying again. Thoughts?
