All things Drag Racing.

I think your plan is tits Dave. Trans/convertor first, carb swap at the track second, come back after the intake swap.

Do you have an AF gauge and a jet kit? Jet extensions? I'm not sure the Brawler has jet extensions or not out of the box...and your car might leave hard enough to need em.

That makes 2 of us
Still working on getting everything sorted ready and good to go, both car and trailer

Unfortunately I robbed my vacation days for drag week to get the car together, and still not quite

We had fun even though it was a little tame speed wise.

Eileen's Corvette needs the secondaries working. I forgot the linkage. It was starving for fuel when I mashed the go peddle. She had fun, but it got loose at half track. Not sure why.

I was spoken to for carrying tire spin too far in juniors car. I could not get it to hook up. Second gear clutch dump seemed to help. Pulled the engine down more.
I had never driven the 67. Stoker SBC, T5 transmission. Tire spin was an issue there also.

Juniors numbers.

So now you will build one for yourself?

Took the SSTB to o the test and tune night at Bandimere. Thirty years was too long to not go to the track.

Never launched an awd beast on the track before. It’s wicked.

Though I had to figure out the nuances of the truck quick. Leaving the trans in drive caused it to try and shift to fourth 100 ft before the line. Fell on its face during the shift. Though I was up against a diesel rabbit that was worked over. Just didn’t want to loose to it. Shouldn’t have worried.

Race two was up against a c6 z06 that innew I didn’t have a chance heads up with it. But I did launch at 1800 on the converter vs 1200 on the previous run. Shaved time off the 60ft but lost it on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift since the shifter won’t bump between gears. You have to physically push the button on the shifter to go to 2nd and 3rd while 4th doesn’t require the button and bumps easy with a lockout to neutral.

I know with less fuel in the tank and better shifting it’s going to dip into the 15’s.

Robbie rode along on the second run but he’s a beanpole lightweight. So I’m pretty sure the loss of 10th was my shifting and not his weight.

Fun time though.

Funnernhell!
That Z06 is slow!
Well we are at a mile high elevation at the track. Actually 5800 if I remember right.

Plus the guy driving the vette looked like he was in his late 60’s.
