I'm not sure what to think of the starter at MIR World Cup. Seems left lane was in and out of the beams and definitely was F'in around a lot. Should have been a red light IMO.
Regardless, in an earlier race, James while driving Mullet, got burned down as well. He flat out told Cleetus he'd never fully stage against a rotary car again. Cleetus should have listened better. I'm not sure why Cleetus got out of it but the shenanigans at the start line couldn't have helped.

I watched their episode a while back on what they do to them to get them to hook. Still impressive with that size and design of tire, they may have turned them into slicks, but they still aren't stickies.
You can see some smoke or steam start coming out of the exhaust right before it lays over.
Unfortunately that stuff happens when everyone is rushed to get the car done for a deadline and have no time to test.
Hopefully another American V8 won the whole thing?
They are basically at the point where all the cars are American promod chassis and bodies with just different engines running huge turbos, and it's whoever can hold it together and put it down to the track long enough to win.
Eagle's hemi is just fine. They got no data on that last pass though so they don't know for sure why it just laid over. They think the rev limiter actually held that pass and just said nope. Previous pass it went 248 mph through the soft limiter and hitting the hard limiter. The Go Pro on Eagle shows him out on Natty to about the 1200' mark.
The only thing they wrecked was Leroy's clutch when he got burned down, other than that all three cars are fine.
One crazy thing is Mullet putting down numbers it has never put down before. 1.07 60, 4.26 to the 1/8th. It actually out 60'd Eagle and it doesn't have the SMX anymore. Just a regular big block (Pretty sure it's a Dart block)

I think that's the engine he had in Mullet before the SMX, just freshened again, which is a cast aluminum Brodix block. Dart blocks are very strong too.
I think this Hemi is going to keep them on their toes with maintenance, they are harder on rods and pistons than a wedge based combustion chamber like the BBC, SMX, and 481X, etc. I think I would rather see the SMX or 481X (if solid block) in there because its BBC based in the Camaro, but it's still a USA V8 so it's still awesome either way, not like there is actually any Chrysler parts on there anyway.

The biggest issue they had with Eagle is they were out of gear, hence the rev limiter issues. They need 3.40's or 3.25 gears...I think they have 3.70's because it was all they could get, and it still managed 248 mph.
