Yep! That brought quite a bit of traffic here through the early 2000’s. Even had a couple of Hotrod Power Tours stop here over the decades. We have our first even in October, so I’m excited to see how things look after this summer.
Went to say hi to a buddy and got vollentold to help stage cars for a few hours.

With all the talk about the IHRA here, I thought this interview with 1320 videos was pretty interesting.
That is some special density altitude.
Now if they could heat the track to 70*, awesome!
I was at the Gators a few years ago and D/A was -600’, some cars had a hard time hooking up, but the Factory stock showdown class reset the record by almost a tenth @ 7.60, which is still the record 4 years later. When your sitting in the stands with a heavy jacket on and the sun is shining, its gonna be good!

He was old when I met him when I was in high school. I did not realize he is 104.
I thought by now he was already gone.
