6- 3.6 runs so far.
Today was iffy weather, but it stopped raining long enough to dry, heat, and prep the track (that took 2 hours) for some outstanding runs.
Density altitude was 1500’, temp 62*, and 90% humidity, track temp 77*, but the top fuel cars made 4 more 3.6 second runs today.
I’ve never witnessed so many 3.6 second runs before, and we still have another day of racing tomorrow. This track is phenomenal and the racers (in all classes) have expressed their thoughts on how good it is!

Kalitta runs a 3.66, best run of the day.

Wow, what a race day! Just when you think it couldn’t get any better…
Sunday was a rainout, so they finished the race today.
Good call, as we started out w 57* 80% humidity, cloudy skies, and a dry well prepped track.

By the end of the day d/a was 1330’ and in TF we had another another 10 runs in the 3.6 second zone totaling 15 for the weekend. more than a dozen runs over 335 and 6 runs over 340 including a 346.95 making US131 (Martin) the fastest track in the world!
in FC, dozens of runs in the 3.8 zone, and the quickest run all year @ 3.832.
It was incredible to see these cars at a track I’ve been to over a hundred times over the years, and to perform at the highest level all year is incredible!
