All things Drag Racing.

Go to a few weekend bracket races, then go to a race w blown alcohol or nitro chaos type cars, then go to an NHRA national event.
I’ve been watching the top tier cars since they only made 1500hp, now they’re at 12,000. It still amazes me every time.
And be sure and get baptized by nitro. Stand right at the front of the pit rope when they do the tuneup startup about 1 to 1-1/2 hours before they run.

That’s beautiful carnage right there !
NITRO is amazing and just as you put it “it will break anything”.

And now for the drag race newcomer -
Being present at even just a Pro Mod event is un-frigg’n real and Top Fuel is indescribable !
All your senses are gett’n a workout - visual is spectacular, the smell of fuel is so intense your eyes will do more than water up; you will actually cry, and as for the sound - ya’ gotta wear ear plugs but don’t worry because most of what you’re hearing you will actually feel it in your chest.
It’s all frigg’n amazing!!

In the 90’s while I worked at a speed shop it was part of my job to attend the local drag races and every Pro Mod event just so the racers could put a face to who they were dealing with over the phone - felt guilty for taking a paycheck…

Eric (Blazinzuk) told me before my first top fuel that it was like a 1000 monkeys beating on your chest at once.
And I used that with everyone I talked to about it since lol.
