If you look into it, repowering John Deere 5020's is what started Kinze Manufacturing.

One of my best friends worked for kinze for the last 20 years. He just recently quit.
Has some very interesting storys from working there.
Jon Kinzenbaw probably has the biggest tractor collection in the whole US of A. Look it up there are some pictures on line.
I've considered working there several times. It would be right up my alley. I've been warned away, so I haven't pursued it. I'd be curious to hear what your friend had to say.

Yes, stay away. At least from what he has told me..
First time the new plow is in the ground. I did make a few more adjustments after the pictures to get it level and making a full cut.

I've posted my tractor in other threads, but this also seems like a good place to share. Its a 1953 Ford Jubilee, converted to 12 volts, used mostly for bush-hogging. Hopefully the hydraulic pump will be rebuilt hopefully this weekend as the pasture isn't gonna mow itself!

Let's see. If you boost the power you still won't have the weight.
If you weigh it down. Then the frame is not big enough.
If you beefed the frame to match the power and weight. You might well just have bought a 1466 and been done.
Plus not to mention the engine problems with the pump turned up and turbo boost.
For an antique tractor show sure, why not.
But I respect all the Ms and Hs still out there pulling grain-o-vators getting used every day more.
I would rather see them working. Like God intended.

The 460-660 tractors have a special place in my heart is the reason why for me. First tractor I ever drove was grandpas 560 diesel. We spent one of my spring breaks in school switching all the good working hydraulics from that one into the one he has now. I've got a ton of memories in that old 560 and I'll be damned if someone else gets ahold of it when he's done with it.
