Just replaced alternator and all belts, after the old one died. And now while at idle with the ac on, my volts drop low, almost to the line above the red mark. I replaced with an orginal replacement alt....

My question is..."Is this normal and is this ok or good???" All I have is an aftermarket radio. While driving it sits well above 13 volts.

Its a 82 blazer with a 6.2 diesel. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Make absolute sure you have all the wires connected on the alt. I did this once and forgot the plug. If this doesn't fix it, i would take the truck somewhere like Autozone and have the charging system checked. Shouldn't drop that low IMO.

If your battery died(usually thats how we find out the alts out /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif), that may be the problem.
