ok
ive got AC
a stereo
off road lights
new headlights

as now on idle it will sometimes sag...in fact i had to set the idle a bit higer today to keep it from dying when i have the AC on

i have plans for 2 more lights, a cb, power inverter, and an AMP...all very soon

what is the stock amperage on the alternator and what ameriage should i get on a new one...also a cost would help

lets say i make 60amps at idle...if i turn idle up will i make more?

Yes, if you idle higher the more amps your altenator wil produce since the engine turns it. On the 86's I'm not sure but I think that's the older 60ish amp altenator. You might look at swapping it out to the newer 1987 or 88 to 1995 altenator that puts out around 100 amps that is on the TBI motors.

since im going to add all that other stuff thats what i was thinking
