Aluminum dash

Pre-lock dash PAD :haha:

That being said, I love this dash and want one in the future. I think a passenger grab-handle is in order though.

Dash drama, CK5 style.....

ya need a disclaimer Kert not to polish the dash and burn your own retina's out from the glare... :haha:

If the dash is too shiny you could always nail the brakes and give it a nice coating of scalp and brains...

Wow?!, never thought my opinion would insult a fellow member, I was just curious to the fact that this was safety issue and I believed that it should be noted to the vendor in case someone did sue.
I'm not gonna start any ranting on this issue, I believe this vender has a great item and it is something new that we would all want in our big metal babies.
I'm for it, I'm considering to buy this dash:bow:

Just dreaming for now but wondering how easy or hard it would be to put in my buggy. Here are some pictures for reference. I can't pull it out like a standard cab but could come straight out the top, not sure if there is something that would cause a problem though. Your thoughts are appreciated, Thanks, David.

i have one and its 2 peices. so the hardest part might be getting the old one out by the looks of your cage setup.

Any update on Aluminum dash panels? I think I might need a set to match the dash I ordered today :pimp:

door panels? Got some sketching done. Nothing metallic yet. Soon as the silly season settles down I'll be able to get back to this as well as our SAS kit.

Hard to say. As sweetk30 said, it's a two piece unit. Might slip right in but on the other hand, not knowing how much room you have to work with, could be a bear!

That's OK, I got a dash for the crew cab on the brain tonight.

Just surfing and thinking...

Kert, do you have any pics of the back side of your dash? From the looks of NEK5's pics the area behind the glove box door is enclosed? Can this be left open/unfinished for access to the firewall? Also, is there a shelf of some sort inside the glove box area? Lastly, do you know of anyone that's painted or coated a dash? Pics maybe?

i have nek5's dash. its a decent size glove box. but not as big as stock. and dont see why not to leave the option off when he builds it.

and there is a product for coating the aluminum that will keep it like new for years. http://www.sharkhide.com/mpinfo.html

the dash is not in the truck yet for mine. if you want pics i can get for you buddy :thumb:

Is there a shelf of any kind inside the glove box? I've removed my factory one and fab'd a shelf where I mounted my MSD box and coil so I'll need something similar if I go this route.

Off to look at the sharkhide stuff, thanks! :waytogo:

If you don't mind, can you shoot some pics of the back side and the glove box? I'm in no hurry so whenever, I'm just rollng junk around in my head. Thanks! :thumb:

I can see about getting some pics to. I have one at the shop finished and ready to ship just waiting on some hardware to show up.

We can alter the glove box area to some degree to make things a little more user friendly for electronics.

I have some pics of a painted dash I'll post up in just a few. Don't know if its powder coat or what.
