Anyone have fabrication ideas to install AMP running boards on 88 Jimmy?

Theres also a company that makes kit that is bolt on for squares now given the popularity.

Ive read that in winder with snow/ice they freeze up and can get damaged. Something to consider if you are in an area that gets cold temps and snow during winter and plan to drive the truck.

I can. I used 2004 f250. I added the 3” extension because of 6” lift. Would hide if I didn’t use it. Bolted 5” aluminum flat bar to rocker for extra support. Real strong and clean underneath body. I will take pictures this weekend.

We are working on square body kits right now

We have them for 67-72 Trucks and Suburbans now

New Product released today, more Amp Step Square Body Kits coming soon from Engineered Vintage!

@Engineered Vintage will these work with crew cabs as well? Or will the bracks be different because of frame size? (When will those be released?)

I will be a buyer eventually for a crew cab set.

The Suburban kit will not work with crewcabs due to frame size and side saddle gas tanks. I don't have ETA on release of crewcab version.

Full-size Blazers/Jimmy are up next

I will have a suburban body on a crew cab frame, using a suburban tank in back, so that wont be an issue for my build (but i know standard CC will have that issue. I would be happy to be ginny pig for brackets on crew cab frame. Im scared to ask for one off.

I'll be waiting on the 73 - 75 full vert Blazer / Jimmy version. That will make the wifey happy.

I thought i had read somewhere they are tricky because of the rocker boxes in the full verts, but maybe a non issue with them mounting to frame

Yeah, that's the problem, frame mount would be ideal.

I have been looking at the areas under the doors / frame on 73-87/91 trucks a lot lately. I'm blown away by the variations in frame thickness, height, and differences in underneath cab.

And then throw in rocker boxes in the 73-75 blazers and cat exhaust shields in later rigs and diesel fuel lines in the mid-80s - all kinds of fun! (or maybe a different F word??!) LOL

I’m not there yet (perhaps next year?, depending on speed build goes) but would really want your brackets, look stout and clean. Hopefully there is a way to get some made for CC frame. I’ll drop you a pm

Good thing you know so many people with all the trucks.

I am pretty sure you can use the same brackets from the suburban.
It's the same once the saddle tanks were removed
