-AN Fittings were created by a sadistic psychopath

If you still struggle with them. send your stuff ill build them for you, it will give me something to do.

I hope this is the solution, it just shouldn't be that hard. I really feel that the Jegs fittings just don't have enough lead in taper. Will try some other stuff next time.

Maybe you just need to find your zen place, or chi, or the right swear word phrase!
:D :haha:

Whatever you do, never succumb to the temptation to buy cheap-azz fittings, they will leak. Pay the man for name brand.

Sorry late to the party on this. I've made many of these lines from -4 AN to -20 AN. The biggest thing that helps is the cutting too and having the vice tool that holds it in place. I cut mine with some good cutters like these. The cut off wheel or any saw just makes a mess of the steel braid. The bigger stuff like -16 and -20 is a PITA! Sorry the pictures are huge. The other thing that helps is all the AN alum. wrenches and a large AN alum crescent wrench.

So since the trans in my truck is being rebuilt im wanting to finally replace the aging and bent to shit steel lines. I have a bunch of -6an stuff that would be perfect as new cooler line. Finding fittings to go to an on the trans, easy find. Finding a cooler to has an ends, again also easy. Finding the fitting to go from the cooler in the radiator to an, not so easy. For some reason I’m brain farting on what thread the in-radiator cooler uses.

Figure more folks would see it here vs my build thread.

I would have thought the opposite on the cutters vs cutoff wheel, good to know.
