Nice...

Did you cut off the original bolt ring and weld on a thicker one at one point???

I used DIY 4xs cover kit but only used the outer ring, welded that thing on a while back. It was when Kert pretty much had those and beadlock rings and a couple other things.

Damm!! Looks good! I like the cage, the A pillers looks good. Nice work. Have fun Eric. All the hard work is gonna pay off in a few hrs.

It turned out awesome man i am glad that my cage was done first, we learned alot on mine and it made yours turn out so much better.:D

Very capable rig! Looks good gettin' it done too.

Sooooo, I have been musing a bit. I fully intend a interior redo to full on stripped out (but with a heater) type interior.

Take out the dash a couple of gauges, get rid of all the wiring I don't need. Waterproof what is left of the wiring, basically the computer and fuse box and work on getting weatherpak connectors for everything left or some other sort of water proof connection.

Plans for the inside are for a cooler/center console. Something that can hold at least 6 waters and a couple liter containers of soda. With some dry storage above it. Not sure if I will make this out of metal or fiberglass or something else yet, kind of leaning towards a combination of some of the above.

Once the dash comes out the new heater will go in, I have no idea what its from but it should put out quite a bit of heat and has its own built in fans.

On the passenger side of the dash I am going to make as much storage of stuff as possible, one idea is a container that can flip out like the ashtray that will hold a round container of baby wipes. Of course some cup holders. Will put a permanent and nice fire extinguisher up there

Not sure what else to put up there.

What things do you guys like in easy reach. Not really easy reach of the driver but of the passenger. Might put in storage for cell phones and the such. I am going to put in a spot for a radio and a cb. Who knows if I will ever get a radio

Anyway this probably won't start for a month or so. Planning stages now so ideas and suggestions are wanted

I really like the idea of easy to reach stuff while in the seat Eric, your ideas on the cooler, and storage for the electrics (phone, camera, winch controller) is a great one.
A couple grab handles for tough terrain would be handy too. Remember where your hand was coming down Chewy? I like the movable ones you got, but they will allow your hand to rotate to the outside of the bar in a rollover...my .02
Check on that bender yet?

Hate to sound like a dink here but are you planning on closing the cab in? I guess i dont really understand the need for a heater. If you point it right at your feet i guess it would keep your feet warm witch is good but if you point it any higher than that all it will do is fog up your glasses:haha:

When you start looking for storage ideas for coolers and such, take a good look at ammo boxes. They are sealed, water tight, cheap, and plentiful. I have a few on my rig that you can take a look at and you may even want to see about placing some of them on your rig for measurements. They are just a sample of what is available out there. I bought all of mine from a store in Northern Utah called Smith and Edwards. One of my favorite stores of all time. I even have a small ammo can that I think it would be perfect for a computer or a first aid kit. Just something to think about. Also, if you are wanting a box made from wood let me know the dimensions you are looking for. I can get the lumber you spec out build the box and bring it out with me when I come out. Let me know if you like the idea or not.

Rob I plan on using Ammo cans in quite a few places but mostly for dry type storage. The dash area will be for convenience items. I drink alot of water out on the trails. I would like to have it more accessible.

Dan the heater is mostly for my feet. I just want to have some way to warm my feet up even if I have to stop for a bit. I do plan on doing a little bit of enclosing up, you know after I link it go full hydro etc etc etc.

My feet get cold dangit, it may end up being pointless and I might take it out who knows, but for now I think it will go in.
