I finally got a hold of Stephen at ORD to order the last little bit of necessities for my V3500- draglink, 1.5" HD tie rod, pitman arm and two end kits.

Stephens not exactly the most exciting guy to talk to is he? Seemed kinda grumpy. :haha: It's all good though, he gave me a military discount- free shipping.

I think I've got every thing covered now. Except drive shafts. But that should be fairly cheap- When I left HAD, Jesse told me I could come back and build a couple shafts for myself at cost. His shop is less than an hour from home too. :D

HD 1.5 stock location D60 tierod $115
End kit $95
Draglink for 8" lift GM D60 with no riser block $95
End kit $95
Pitman for x over on GM 2wd box $70

It is what it is. There's something to be said for one stop shopping. Besides, Stephen let me ride in Wally once a few years ago at Blazer fest. ;)

Guess you are going to have to earn a few more bucks doing some of that military man wrestling for dollars like you posted the pics from before.....:D

Holy **** those are expensive end kits.

I haven't seen ends much cheaper than $50 a piece, especially considering that ORD uses MOOG

Moog don't really mean anything anymore. I got some Moog stuff for my build and it was all made in china.

Are you sure you talked to Stephen? Sometimes they press James into working the phone, and he certainly sounds more grumpy...:D

Positive. I had been emailing back and forth with him about this stuff, then called to make the order. I asked who I was speaking to right away.

It was almost 90 degrees in Colorado today..... you have no idea how cranky people can get when it's hot outside.

:D

I"ve talked with Stephen a few times...technical stuff, and parts stuff, and felt he was great to talk with. Very knowledgeable about the stuff I've had to deal with.
Although he does still owe me an adjustment on a 205 input exchange...

I was being ironical....

I know that Joe is sitting in the sandbox at around 125* these days and thought he'd appreciate a little humor.

:D

I know what you're talking about. Just threw down over 1.2k with ORD. Actually, I really don't know the total, eek, it could be more. The next day I threw down another 470 with DIY. Then 50 for some aluminum welding. Tomorrow will be Summit for about 700.

OMG, I hate math. I shouldn't have listed it out.

That's almost as much as I have into my whole rig, including purchasing it...

I wouldn't call it a build, I haven't even seen the truck in person yet. Around Oct-Nov there will be a build thread though. It'll be a two week start to finish thrash fest to get it built. When I get back to the states, I fly home to Cali from Georgia on 3 weeks or so leave. I'll have that much time to build it and drive it back across the country to Georgia. A one man Ultimate Adventure.:eek1::haha:

California and Georgia. Hmm, I hope you don't go AWOL while you are here thinking about going back to Georgia. Yes we have some seriously ****ed up politics but the state is heaven when it comes to weather and environment.
