Another $470 flies out of my account at warp speed.

I was born in Cali (northern cali)and lived almost my entire life there, so I know what it's like. You hit the nail right on the head though. AWOL is a distinct possibility! :haha:
Georgia is a godamn **** hole in comparison. We need a state with California's weather, climate, geography etc and Georgia's politics. As much as I miss California, I don't think I'll be going back after I retire from the Army. Nevada maybe. Reno is a cool town, I lived there for a couple years.

Georgia smells funny too.

Minden/Gardnerville is my preferred destination for retirement if I can talk the missus into it. I love NV but southern Utah is also on the radar along with maybe AZ. I'm thinking that as wild as southern AZ is getting, perhaps there might be a need for people with human hunting skills/eradication some day......

Oh, and to keep it Garage related, I followed your thread some time back about a deal for a dualie that went bad. I guess I missed the update since you have one now waiting for you. What happened?

Never mind, I found the thread where you picked up the rig from Dozer's son. Congrats on the purchase, that is one huge beast.

Forget Reno, it's gotten way too big. When did you live there? I was born and raised there and moved away in 2004 and my friend that moved with me went back 2 weeks ago and told me that it's grown by leaps and bounds.

If I were to move back to Nevada, I'd like to go to the Winnemucca area. My uncle retired there and he bought something like 30 acres outside of Golconda and he loves it.

I wouldn't call it a build, I haven't even seen the truck in person yet. Around Oct-Nov there will be a build thread though. It'll be a two week start to finish thrash fest to get it built. When I get back to the states, I fly home to Cali from Georgia on 3 weeks or so leave. I'll have that much time to build it and drive it back across the country to Georgia. A one man Ultimate Adventure.:eek1::haha:

Wow, that will be really cool !!! I wish I were somewhere along your route to offer up some help, but since MD is nowhere close :doah: I will just keep watching and wish you the best of luck :waytogo:.

I was there in the mid '90s, but I've been back since then. I still like the town. And cabela's is right there too. :) Golconda eh? I know exactly where that is. My family actually has property and a small house about 60 miles north west of there in a tiny town called Midas. About 50 miles of dirt road, 10 miles of pavement.

I suppose I could move in with my uncle who has a huge cattle ranch in Ruby Valley south of Elko but just getting the missus to consider the Reno area has been unsuccessful so far. I told her I was going to miss her....

lol, and it doesn't have an engine:doah:. Working on that :haha:

Hey Jethro, pic whore away. Its a nice truck, I've followed the build
