I believe my NP208 is going south.....it's making noises like what you would hear if you put it in 4 low. The only way to make it go away is put it in 4 low go foward then put it in 2wd and go backwards. I have a NP205 in another truck that I just have to drop. BUT This truck is a 1979 GMC truck with a standered. What would I have to do to mate it up to my Th350?
Thanks
Adam

the 205 on the standard should have a 10 spline input shaft, usually the th350 has a 27 spline output. as long as you have the right adapter you should only need a 27 to 10 conversion. check out advance adapters, the 27 to 10 is reasonable. or just swap in the whole tranny/t-case combo!:D

Some guys change the input shaft of their 205 when they go doubler .

Post up for a 27 spline input , and th350 adapter in the wanted forum . Someones going to have the parts somewhere .
