Another stupid 10-bolt carrier question...

Simple question, but I can't find a simple answer...

Will the carrier out of a rear 10-bolt fit in a front 10-bolt axle?

When GM upgraded the spline count in the 10-bolt rear ends in 88 or 89 or so, did they also upgrade the spline count in the front?

Yes and yes . Although some carryover could of happened at first . You almost always find 30 splines front and rear from 89 on .

You may also change a 30 spline to 28 spline by using the 28 spline carrier . I am doing my "new: 89 Sub front axle so I can use all the spare shafts I have . ( and give the 30 spline stuff to a guru ) .
