antenna booster ?

I'd be checking out all my antenna connections before trying anything else! Those windsheild antennas are great -- They have a huge surface area to pick up signals with vs a dipole mounted on the fender.

Your link didn't work out for the booster, but unless it electrically connects to your current antenna and somehow changes the length and or surface area of your existing antenna, it probably won't help much.

:haha: My 87 Chevy with a windshield antenna gets way more stations then my wife's 2008 malibu.

OK my after market radio stunk for reception with my windshield antenna. I thought it had a break at base where clips to windshield but once I put a GM factory in I get radio stations up the wazu! Detroit which is 50 miles away comes in now.

If you still want a booster I have one I never installed PM (NO SALES IN GARAGE RULE). Only place I know is they break at the base where windshield and antenna meet.

I have chips and cracks in the windshield, but none of which i know of interfere with the antenna. I'm going to check all the connections

I took a couple of those out of my 72 and might have them laying around if you want them. PO lived in BFE and said they worked pretty good(NewMexk5). I didn't have a whole lot of use for them.

I had a booster in an old 78 LTD. We called it the light. That is all we could tell that worked on it.

x2/. Couldnt' see the jc whit one you linked to, but the one i had didnt' do anything.

im gonna have to figure out whats wrong with my windsheild antenna lol. PO said they antenna didnt work so i bought a pole antenna and it is sitting in my cab working somewhat well becasue i couldnt bring myself to put a whole in my fender.

guess i gotta figure out if the connections broke or whats up with it

Some times the antenna come off the end that attaches to windshield. Pull your dash pad and check there. My plan was to put the booster in the dash it is one that you turn on and off by pushing the button.

You could get a Mirror mount for a CB and put your monopole on it.

isnt probaly an answer your looking for but its what im gonna do with my blazer. Friend of mine picked up a truck that belonged to the fire station a 80 chevy 1 ton didnt have a radio in it so we hooked up a cb with 2 4 ft whips and hooked the antenna for the radio into those. picks alot more stations than any other newer car or truck ive been in.

They make hideaway black box antennas that are powered and work awesome.

Have one in my boat. I'd look into those, about $25.
