Any exeprience with nwf?

The boys, did right by me. I screwed up and gave them the wrong CC number, they called me and we cleared it up. Got the parts 3 days later.:D

After reading all three pages it sounds like you have a 50/50 chance on what you'll get. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have bought their high steer for my 60 and a spicer yoke. I have recieved good tech advice, good service and quality parts. I would and do recommend them to anybody.

I bought my doubler from them last fall. I got it right away like they said, They also said the shaft was back ordered and would take about a month, and it did. The bolts were grade 5 plated. I also replaced mine with grade 8 plated. Grade 5 was probably fine I just wanted the cheap insurance. All the parts fit flawlessly very close tolerance. I used a 31 spline ford input on my 205 and when I got the shaft everything fit perfect. It was actually good that the shaft came later as I spent more time getting the xmember right and figuring out where I wanted it clocked instead of rushing it.

I have the NFW d60 steering arm, and it is an awesome piece. I did have a problem with the tie-rod end not seating in the hole all the way. I got in contact w/ NWF and they promptly offered to fix it. So all in all, i would have to say my dealings w/ them are good, and would probably order from them again.

Just an update my buddy did get his black box from them, Had a few minor problems but got them figured out with Kyles help. So shipping may take a while but the its a good product. The wait on shipping is a big problem for a small shop without a totally seperate shipping divivsion

Expect to double your shipping times when going across the border.

Doesn't matter if it's coming or going from Canada.

Customs is the problem....I thought we had a free trade agreement?!:D

This is what I PMed to NWF.

PM:

Quote: NWF,

I just thought you should see, and be aware of this for what its worth. if you have comments feel free to chime in. Not trying to get a rise out of NWF, but its your reputation here we are talking about. I would like to believe this is just a few isolated issues. I have faith that if there are issues you will address them professionally as a stand up shop would.

The link is this thread. Im positive then will address this.

Does anyone else think the S bend in the 60 crossover draglink should be closer to the pitman arm? Mine does have a longer tierod on that side (nother story) but it still seems like it should be further away from the crossmember on flat ground with the wheels turned right. It appears to me I could have gone with a straight tube and get simular results.
Yes, I agree. My draglink does rub a little, but not enough to be a serious problem. I do really like their steering arms.

i ordered a set of 60 stubs,u joints and a 60 1410 yoke from them about a month ago..i told them to ship it to clarkjw24s house in south carolina where i would be building my 60...i told them i needed it 2 weeks before the 60 build..

basically to make a long story short they didnt get there in time, they lost my order, and they were just outsorcing the products from randys....i was preety pissed made me make an extra trip to south carolina to finish my 60..they did what they could to fix it but what was done was done...

i would not do buiness with them again

but i do have to say if you call and do buiness with anyone call and talk to kyle not matt...matt was the one who lost my order told me he would call me back multiple times but never did..kyle is the one who straightened every thing out

if your looking for crossover stuff call trevor at wfo...he is the man nothing bad to say about him and he prices are good too

I totally agree with you on that. The one time that matt actually called me back, it was nearly two hours after he said he'd call.

I have the high steer arms on my 10 bolt front. They are a fantastic product and they shipped as quoted. Yes it took about 2 weeks and yes there was a fee, but I knew the exchange rate and customs would alter the price.

So I would deal with them again. It isn't their fault you live so far away and customs can be a pain.

It took years to get the rig where it is now, and with proper planning you can have the parts there in time for the build. if it is an emergency then yeah you have to look at who can get you the parts quickest.

It's funny how some people don't think of the added custom fees & the wait time with customs & that they're a small shop. Lots of b!tching & moaning for things that are out of NWF's hands. But it is one thing if the product is not up to par...then that is NWF's dealing. I've ordered up a doubler from them, took a while but I wasn't in a hurry...when it showed up, the whole thing was top notch, perfect fit. I also ordered up a LoMax thru them & got it without any fuss. Ordered up some covers, 203 rebuild kit, and some shifters. Then I ended up ordering some cable shifters because the fit, clocking, and shifting of the mechanical shifters just wasn't going to cut it...so Kyle cut me a deal on the cables. Overall I've had great dealings with NWF & I would order up from them again. But like it's been said already, if you're in a hurry, order elsewhere. If you're willing to wait for some great products go with NWF. I have the Sky arms only because I wasn't thinking at the time & they were the cheapest...I'd go with a different set if I could do it again.

P.S. Google a map, look at the southmost tip of TX & that's where NWF shipped my stuff to...

Can I ask why you would go with a different arm over Sky if you did it again?

Just asking cause I was getting ready to order their arm. I tried to PM ya, but your box is full:wink1:

I have no complaints about my Sky arm. It's about 5 years old and still going strong.

Just an update guys. I was in a rush to finish the truck and decided to go with sky tall arms since they had a chance of making it here on time. Well sky wouldn't answer their phone all day so I ordered them through Dunks performance. Though sky did call back at about 6pm which was pretty cool.
I was going to order through the website but there wasn't a choice for driver and passenger arms so I called it in to avoid any mix up. I specifically asked for a passenger and driver side arm in the tall style with a 1ton Chevy tre taper. I was asked about studs and said no I already had them. I was told the total was 225 and some change shipped. I said that was fine and charged it. I never received an invoice # or an email as I was promised.

Fast forward to today... I walked in after work and saw a box on the door step that said sky offroad designs. Hmm ok I guess they just drop shipped them. I opened it up to find a passenger side arm and a stud kit WTF!

I get on the phone first to sky thinking there was just a shipping mix up. The guy at sky was real cool and wanted to send me another but couldnt without authorization from dunks.

I said thats fine and called up dunks and gave them the scoop. His reply was sorry theres nothing I can do thats what your invoice says. So I'm now up sh!T creek:eek1:. I ended up ordering the other arm and having it 2nd day aired. The only thing he did was split shipping but wouldnt pay shipping back on the studs if I wanted to return them.

So I'm now down another weekend and have to rid shotgun this weekend again! I should have just went with the nwf arms... On a good note though. my tierod, jam nuts and tre's I ordered from blazenoffroad showed up a day early and the parts were a perfect fit considering he winged it due to lack of exact measurements. Ill definitely be ordering my hydro assit ram from in the future. If only the carried high clearance arms (WINK)(WINK)

I finally got all but the kingpin kits from NWF yesterday. They sent me two slightly different axle u-joints so they have the other one on the way. I get a spare joint out of it for free so thats cool of them.
