I have a 2003 2500hd 6.0 crewcab. The trailer brakes only work if i manually engae the unit tek voyager and not when i use the brakes on the truck. My old neighbor said there a red wire that sends the signal that goes bad. I want to know if its is somthing i can fix or if i should have the dealer handle any info would be great

Sounds like the brake input to your control is not working.
