I have a line on getting some new and used hummer tires, so this is just a feeler.

4 new biased ply $350.00 per set

4 95% or better Radials $375 per set

You pay shipping

Honestly thats the going rate. Trailworthy fab offers them for $75 a tire for radials and re-centers hummer wheels for dirty cheap plus ships anywhere for $200.

Throw yours on ebay but your not gonna dump them w/o selling them for stupid cheap.

PS: Your really not suppose to be posting for sales in the garage. We have a classified section and you're suppose to be a paying member to use it. Just letting you know.

Its just a feeler to seek interest, and i will not sell any on this site with out becoming a paid member again. Ive been a member for a long time on here, and was a paying member before. I just got back into these trucks, and plan on paying up again soon.

Are you refering to the 24 bolt ones? I read that within the next year or two we should start seeing them more often. Perhaps it would be better to wait til towards the end of your build?

Yeah he would be able to buy them for $10 each then.

This is what I'm talking about..... Hutchinson builds wheels for the military and this one is a CTIS alloy version that I'd like to get. Model WA-1058:

If you know of a source, I'm all ears.... :deal:

My other alternative are the RockMonster (consumer version) like the ones used on that yellow K10 Ultimate Adeventure truck... though they have slightly less backspacing and aren't optimized for CTIS.

That tire wheel combo is probably $6k for the set. If you ever find a decent deal on the alloy Hutchinson 2-piece rims jump on it.

I would be happy if we could start getting decent deals on 37/12.5/16.5 MT-Rs.

Wait MT-Rs? Like the last model civy MT-R? They mae those in 16.5 for the military?

As far as the beadlocks go those arent what the newer 24bolt hummer ones look like to my knowledge. Theyre just typical humvee wheels with 24bolts rather than 12 or 8.

Yep $6K...... about $1200 ea for the wheels, and about $300 ea for the CTIS fittings and hoses. The cool thing about those wheels is that the air passes from the center hub through a hollow spoke in the wheel into the tire. There is no visible valvstem.

Even my "Might As Well" philosophy has a hard time shelling out that kind of cheddar for a set of wheels... and from what I've seen so far, these don't ever seem to show up as surplus or used items. If there's a source, I'd love to find it. I know that Hutchinson will sell individual parts to repair damaged wheels so if the price was cheap enough, I could still afford to repair them.

I've got lots of new production HMMWV's sitting all around me. I knows a few things about them.

Stomis is right, the 24 bolt HMMWV wheels that everyone is referring to are just regular steel wheels similar to the older 8 and 12 bolt versions but with way more bolts.

The newer HMMWV's all have Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's of the first vintage (2000-08 or so) flavor, not the current MT/R with the chevronish tread (2009-present or so). They are in a 37x12.5R16.5 size that isn't commercially available I don't think.
There's also a new BFG Baja in 37x12.5R16.5 floating around too. Think those were ordered for something else and then got throw into the general HMMWV population when the original purpose got cancelled.

So 37 MTRs and BFG bajas will actually be available in the future instead of just the regular MTs. Thats good news.

One day. The BFG's are rather awesome. The Goodyears are just MT/R's. Suck in anything slippery.
