Any interest in hummer tires?

One day. The BFG's are rather awesome. The Goodyears are just MT/R's. Suck in anything slippery.

MTRs>MTs though.

The BFGs did look good.

When did the military stop having them produce standard MTs and move to the MTRs? I only ask because I'm trying to guesstimate when we'll start seeing them. They replace tires after they've been on trucks for 4 years no matter the mileage I think.

Someone had a post on here about a set of the Baja's showing up on GovLiq a while ago.

The bias plies started to get phased out 2006 or so. That's why you saw that huge boom of them hitting the market in new shape. The MT's have never truly been a happy replacement for them due to their inferior mud performance and weak sidewalls so they were heading out the door then too. The HMMWV's I have were all ordered in 2007 and produced in 2009-2010.

BEEG picture but I'm at work, sorry. The spare in the foreground is the BFG Baja and the truck in the background is wearing MT/R's.

Yep those tires do look good. Hopefully they'll be more available somewhat soon but I have a feeling I'll wind up with regular MTs and grooving them for the time being. After that I'll probably go to IROK radials or Pitbulls. Theres really no other 16.5 radial options in the 38-42 range.

So 37 MTRs and BFG bajas will actually be available in the future instead of just the regular MTs. Thats good news.

Well we don't know if they will ever be available in any quantity. The MT-R has been in the field a lot of years and you still can't get them. Sometimes they just decide to destroy things when they're done with them.

Tires will always be disposed of through DRMO. Not considered a combat item.*

*Unless some of the fruitcakes get their way and we can never ever sell anything the military owned to civilians.
