Yeah, the truck is too dark for black rims. Plus it has chrome trim, bumpers, nerf bars, tool box. I think the whole black rim thing is a fad that will die off in the next 5-10 years, but chrome has been and will be around forever.

Have you modified the doors here to sit flush with the bedrails? That's what it looks like, but it's hard to tell from this angle.
Kind of. I got a wheelchair lift that comes out the drivers door so that door is about 10" longer than normal. When the door shuts with the hardtop on it fits under neath it.
Very cool. Would love to see more pics of that.
