Any tried attaching a hammock inside of the K5?

I've not hooked a hammock to the inside, but I have hooked mine to the latch pin for the tailgate and the other end to the other truck.

A camping hammock is too large to fit completely inside a K5 to start with. My hammock is over 8 feet long. If you have an interior roll bar you could hook at least one side to it and the other side to a tree or anything else.

Hmm...I wonder if it would work in a burb. Could just throw a pad in the back.....

I’m thinking some detachable outriggers from each bumper would be ideal for my burb. I’m a hammock camper and have thought about it a bit.

Friend of mine likes to use his winch

One side to the winch and one to a tree? Seems like it would set you up to hang low. I like to leave room for the critters to walk underneath me in the hammock. Unless it's below freezing and then I get as close to the ground as possible.

Depends how much he’s drank before he sets it up but he likes to get creative with treesavers and snatchblocks. He made the mistake of leaving his winch controller plugged in after falling a sleep once :D

Hammocks take a lot of length and height to hang properly. I don't see it happening inside a K5. Maybe some sort of a net could work, mounted all around like a trampoline. I've occasionally considered what could be done with mounts that fold to the side from the front and rear bumpers - the hammock hanging along side the truck, parallel to it. Maybe a dual for one guy on each side...

No way my hammock would fit inside a K5 or a burb for that matter.

Being a big boy, the straps need to be close to 4-5ft off the deck at the right distance apart to keep my ass off the ground. No way that is happening inside most vehicles.
