Throw an educated guess out there. Looking for what I should start my base timing at and possibly an overall timing. Can I get aggressive with the timing curve or does an engine like this want something more broad? Only a guess, I know testing/tweaking is in order. Putting a new dizzy in the boat, something marine safe. :waytogo:

What compression and fuel? I would most likely set it about 34-36 total with a fairly fast advace (all in at 3000-3500 or so). The problem I would assume is that being constant load it will be a bit more detonation sensitive than a car or truck where you are on it and off it again. It would most likely make more power with more but it may limit life. I am assuming forged pistons correct?

I would agree with above...34 total, and maybe 16-18 initial if it will allow...maybe 12 if need to back off for detonation knock. And all in by 3000.
