mite be taken a trip to washington and dnt have a trailer....was thinkin bout renting one from u-haul....but there website was givin me problems..

I bet they wont rent you one. About a month ago they turned away TARussell when he needed one to haul his K5. Iirc, they said it was too heavy for there trailers and/or dollies.

try buying a dollie cheap and selling it when you get where your going ... i did that found one for 250 (good shape too) and sold it for 525 2 weeks later

check ur local trailer sales places, they usually have rentals ALOT cheaper than uhaul...or jus tell em ur haulin a s10 blazer...lol

First off i'm guessing you have another rig to tow with. I don't know what the rules are in Arizona but here in California the rental yards won't rent you a trailer unless you have a factory 1 ton truck.

not sure about your guys u-hual store but does not matter the truck as far as 1/2 ton to 1 ton but the trailers a round here there no chance a stock k5 would fit on the u-hual trailer. be really really tight if it even fit.

oh man, i put a 1ton k5 on a uhaul trailer once, scary to say the least, i told them i was hauling a mazda. the only reason i did it was because A:it was a very short distance B:no driveshafts ...... lemme see if i can find a picture:D

i towed a 86 blazer on a uhaul tow dolly with a dodge dakota had no problems just make sure u use small tires so the straps fit and tell them u are towing a smaal truck lol

if you do make a decision to do something as idiotic as putting a K5 on a 4000lb max net rated trailer, please do me a favor and DO NOT drive through Oregon.

I did it for my friend both his trucks it was like 40 miles but his truck has a ten bolt and twelve bolt not one ton

I saw a picture on Pirate4x4 of a full-size Jeep Cherokee with 36" swamper TSL sitting up on a small u-haul trailer. The rear tires just barely cleared, but it fit and made it safely, apparently, several hundred miles.

Its what I'm considering when I drage my own fullsize Cherokee (stock with 31's) from Texas to Virginia behind my Suburban in a few months

i was actually joking bout the uhaul trailer part...and as far as the other rental places, its not a good idea to b dishonest cuz if sumthin goes wrong, it could have MAJOR consequences

I had to haul my k5 a while back and did alot of searching on trailers... basically u haul doesn't have a trailer or dolly that will handle it. I think the trailers are 4500lbs and the dollies are 3500lbs and both aren't wide enough if you've got anything over 35's. Your best bet is to find a local rental yard. Most of them have heavy equipment trailers that won't even break a sweat with a k5 on em. IIRC it was only 70 bucks for a flatbed for a day at the local yards.
