with the flat crossmember?looking for a estimate how much further back the crossmember is goin to move? i know the th400 is about 3" longer the the 350. but what about the adaper? im in the middle of boxin my frame and trying to avoid puting motor/trans/tcase in to find out. or matine both together.
I swapped out my TH350 with a TH400HD. I had to use the cross member from my donor truck. The new frame support moves back. The original transmission support holes are circled in red. You just need to bolt the new transmission supoprt into the rear hole of the old support and drill a new hole. At least that worked on my 73....
