Anybody had luck selling axles on ebay?

I've tried selling the 10 bolts out of my truck on craigslist, but haven't gotten a single bite. I thought about ebay, but I don't want to start paying fees to them if they're not likely to sell there. Another thing I noticed: there are not many complete axles on ebay, but there are a lot of parts. Would I be better off trying to sell seperate parts? Anyone have experience selling axles on ebay?

There just isn't a lot of people looking for 10 bolts. You might find more people looking for shafts after breaking theirs, that's what I would do when I break one of mine?

That's what I was thinking. I could probably sell the shafts, and maybe the carrier (on the off chance someone needed an open carrier.) The 3.08 gears would never sell and I'd still have a housing. No one would want the brake parts either. So I'm pretty much stuck with these things

strip them down and take them to the scrap yard and get what you can. if you know someone still running 10 bolts in your area I would just give them the shafts/parts and be happy to help someone out

advertize on a jeep board. those jeep guys just love the parts that arent tough enough for our trucks

seriously though, same thing with 700R4's, that arent thought of as strong enough for a full size, is a very popular swap in jeeps, and so are 10 bolts from what i understand. way stronger than the dana 30's and 35's that they came with. anyway, its a thought.

I bought a lot of stuff off CL. I pass right by ads that don't have decent pics and a decent description.

I think ebay for those axles would be a futile effort. I sold mine in Phoenix within a day or two with 3:08's.

ha. ive actually seen your ad. im a 10 bolt junky as i run them in my s10 and im always tearing up bearings and spindles or giving them away to other people... im in lansing il and was actually thinking about buying those.

but yeah those things aint worth crap which is basically why i run them, parts are super easy to find and very cheep. the last set i got the guy basically begged me to get that crap out of his garage... if they are complete, like all the bearings and spindles ill give you a hundred for them. i dont care about the gears im interested in just the hardwhere

edit. yeah ive sold axles on ebay.

got 10 bucks for a dana 70 rear and 20 bucks for a dana44 and 12bolt lol. i was just glad that i didnt have to take the crap to the junk yard
