Anybody have thoughts on this K20?

Why all the hate for old school terminology?
Describes my buddies 55. 283 with a Duntov 097 cam, 750dp, 4spd with a borg and beck racing clutch, 456's, a posi, and slapper bars. Had Hooker headers with Corvair turbo mufflers, but just changed to open fenderwell headers.

He's currently building a 327 with ported and polished camel hump 202 heads and a 30/30 cam. Probably be doing dual quads with a pair of 500 AFB's.

Ran low 12's, should be high 11's with the new motor.

Retro racing may not be as fast as the new tech, but the old stuff brings back the childhood feelings and memories.

Yep it's just throwing out the terms for comedy since some ads seem to throw those terms around pretty loosely.

My Dad's got 2 57's in his garage, one is a factory dual quad 283 with the Duntov 097 cam and the crazy batwing air cleaner. The other is our Nomad with a 327, 30/30 solid lifter bumpstick, 70 LT1 intake with a DP Holley on it. Both backed by 4-speeds. Nothing quite idles like the 30/30 in the Nomad, pretty wicket lope with that one.

Look carefully at the normal frame weak spots. I bet that thing had the shit beat out of it, and just went to a whole body swap to pretty it up, the 73-80 front bumper leads me to that. I'd double check the chassis vin as well.

The sm465, and 454 are a huge plus to me. Also the fact it still has a Qjet. There seem to be a lot of negatives. But at 4 grand or maybe slightly more, it seems like a decent enough truck. Just know going in there's probably no part of the drivetrain original to the body.
