This anybody's on here? Came out of a Fuzzy's taco's about a week and a half ago and it was parked next to my wife's car. Has Alaska plates. Was curious if there's a CK5'er in town that I don't know about.

I see that guy driving on Teasley quite a bit in the afternoon. Looks sharp.

No kidding, first time I've seen it. You local? I'm across the highway from Hooters.

Those are really old AK plates. I have lived here since '84 and have never seen plates like that.

Yes Im local, I live right off Teasley down from Guyer high school. I'm real close to you, Hooters is about a 5-10 minute drive.

No kidding. We'll have to have a gettogether one of these days. That's not you with the orange 1st gen over in Windriver?

Does Alaska have classic plates? They look like they say 74 on them. Maybe they have a classic plate line that you can register the vehicle with the same year plate?

If you guys have a group meet up or know of a group around here I'd be interested in rolling that way.

you might be a redneck if you use hooters to give directions to your home. :haha: Gotta love that Jeff Foxworthy :)

Only one in town, it makes a good generic landmark.

Pretty sure that if its in Texas over 30 days he should have Texas Inspection and registration. We've got 2 colleges here, that's why I figured it as a college kid.

That's be cool, I haven't met a new CK5'er in a while. Haven't ever met one that's in Denton.

Right after college I moved to and drove around in TX for over 2 years with out of state plates. Was pulled over 3 times in one year. Nothing they could do about it though, because my plates were still in my fathers name at that time(who still lived out of state), and I was "borrowing it". Insurance was very expensive there so I never transffered it. However, if you have out of states plates in TX they will give you a ticket every time for whatever they can (mild speeding in my case), no doubt about it. If you are not from TX then you are subpar in their eyes.

Keep your eyes peeled, don't drive the Chalet much these days, but I like to tool around town in my topless, white '72. Will be up around Fouts Field Saturday evening watching the fireworks.

sweet blazer. and I'd be up for a meet around Denton as well. I'm just over and up from there. bout 45minutes

I'm in Mansfield, always up for a good get together also. Just cann't bring the blazer yet, got to get it running.

Cool, we might go watch the fireworks. It all depends when my wife gets off work.
