I've been thinking of buying one of these for 60.00 from LMC for my 90 K5 blazers stock 350.

Just wondered if I'd really net any real gain by doing it. my motor has 100K on it.

Also in the LMC catolog they list a couple extension lines (or somthing) for additional 35/40.00 that are ( required ? ) when doing this swap............do I really need those?

If you really want a spacer go with the one from CFM Tech. They explain some of their basic TBI mods here: http://www.cfm-tech.com/trucksarticle.htm

If you're gonna drop the $60 on a mod go for the CFM Tech powercharger (we sometimes call it the "salad bowl" on here.) and then maybe an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You'd be better off doing both of those and the injector pod spacer before the TBI spacer.

As far as the line extensions, I don't think the CFM Tech spacer is as tall as the Airraid or some of the others so you may not need those but if it's an automatic chances are you'll need to relocate the TV cable bracket. Their spacer kit provides the parts to do that.

I put a helix power tower on the old mans 93 and my mother-inlaws 95. Only thing I had to do was unbolt the hardline off the bellhousing. I than put a rubber hose over the hard line so it wouldnt rub on the bottom lip of the fire wall. Other than that I didnt have to change anything else.

Noticed a couple mpg's increase on both trucks, and a hint more get up n go as well.
