Hello, I have been creeping on your forum soaking up knowledge for about a week... I think I have owned my truck that long?!

So I thoought I'd say hello after a few beers tonight (second shift)

My truck is an 87 with what I would call 95% factory underhood. ( missing the correct air breather and a few stray/burned wires.
When I bought it, it ran... Decent. The day I got it home it started idling funny. I have since then tracked down what seems like a million vacuum leaks. Thanks to the info on this forum I might add.

Long story short... $2000 + $50 + this forum= new Dailey driver.
Hello

Welcome!

You'll find that you get access to tech from all the different time zones. Post up late, and you'll get some west coast advice.... Post up early and your first responses will likely come from the east coast guys. :D

One the greatest things is to post up a tough question just before going to bed..... By the time I'm awake the next morning, i usually have a few answers waiting for me on this forum.

:usaflag:

or if ya wait a week, ya got 9 answers, 3 rants, 4 subject changes and a partridge...

welcome new guy!

What area of kansas are you in? welcome to the forum!

Around Wichita. (derby)

Thanks for the welcome everybody. It was a bigger response than I'd expected. I'll post a few pics of my truck as soon as I get over the five post minimum.

As far as hijacked threads go... I love em. Ask about tire sizes and get schooled in front end geometry. Lol

It's the off topic hijacks that get scary, especially when capraphilia is involved. (Inside joke; should you go to a paid membership, there's a regular in the non-truck-topics forum who has goats. But not, to my knowledge, partridges. Cartridges, yes, but not partridges.)

Welcome. Note this. My shortest post ever......

I hear ya. Found another vacuum leak again today. Might take the very last bit of stumble out of this thing. If only the cranes at work were this easy to work on.
On a side note. I need to sell my mowers and just buy goats with all this rain
