Can you see it?

Shecksy!

Did someone mention goats? This is the no-secret clearance requiring method of mowing the grass at work:

Yeah she's kinda like that old cougar in a bar... 6 beers in and a pool table away she looks real good.

Those pictures kinda suck but I had to leave for work. I'd planned on cleaning her up and taking better shots this weekend but.... The squealers are starting to wine on my girls 4runner. I swear she goes through front breaks faster than an indy driver

Couple of points.
The Fumes reference is to a member here called chevyfumes, who raises goats and about whom there are dark rumors about other goat related activities.

You may never hear from him hear again, he has painted himself into a corner and is not sure how to get out.

He recently posted his 29,999th post, and cannot come up with an appropriate post for the 30,000th one.

He logs on from time to time, but never posts. I suspect he is going to buy a membership under a different name and let everyone sweat for a while.

As for the 4runner, why not fix the actual problem instead of just replacing the front brakes?

When you pull the pads, if just one side is worn out, then you need to grease, carefully, the slides on the calipers.

But, the biggest cause of fast wearing front brakes, is misadjusted rear brakes.

If its shoes on the rear, the adjusters are either frozen, or its an automatic tranny and she never hits the brakes going in reverse to let them adjust.

If its four wheel disk, check and see if you are getting even wear on both sides. You may have a frozen caliper, or the proportioning valve may be bad.
Or trouble with the lines or master cylinder.

I doubt you have access to a braking force tester unless your state does inspections.
Just take it out on a hard packed dirt road and slam on the brakes when going about walking speed.

See if all four slide. If just the front ones slide, that is why you are replacing them so often.

Hey......welcome :thumb:

Suckerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

There's no going back.

"get ready to open your wallet" X2 :hack: :weld: :grind:

Or not............

Nice truck.....plans? Gonna leave it stock? Any kind of build?

be careful around here, you might catch the bug. its all down hill from there. Late nights wrenching on your truck, breaking stuff constantly just to get the epic ck5 member of the month picture! one question though, where did you come up with your name? like vitamins?

Hey all...

18 days in a row with this my first real weekend. As far as the 4unner goes... I don't think it is a problem as far as proportioning goes, it's go ->> STOP!!! action that the menace. I'll do the work, she is fine.

As far as build plans go for the truck... A few stranded thoughts have entered my mind. I want a daily driver, low and efficient. Don't get me wrong, the way you guys figure your tire size with rear and front gear ratio+ tranny gear ratios, all of that is very smart. And I'm not opposed to a lift.

The thing with opening the wallet. I will sit here and say "no this thing is nice" however, the boys at autozone and oreily's have seen me a lot:)

And last but not least... The f'ing red. Lol I really hate it. But as you can see in the pics. I have a red cavy. That's old dependable. In that double car garage I have a red and white 72 c10 lwb. I'm a magnet for red, good deals are always red got me.

Otherwise... Love the comments guys, have a good weekend
