anybody use these lights???

I don't think mine are that particular brand, my wires route through the mounting bolt, and i also have flutted glass.....but they are DAMN bright:eek1:

I was for awhile looking for another set, with the flutted glass, planned on mounting 4 up front on the bumper to go with my other two :D

I love them

My cousin had a set on his truck in the late 80's. They were super bright. Those are cooling fins on the back.

Bright does not begin to discribe them...you see that little bump on the back of the light body? the one with the fins....those are cooling fins for the lights, and it is recomended that the lights NOT be used unless the truck is in motion to help keep the light cool...
I had 8 of these on my last truck, four on the bumper, four on the roof...I accually had to wire mine so that they would not work if the headlights where on....drew tooo much power off my poor battery (750cca) and my alternator (90amp)...but when I turned them on...it was day time at 2AM outside.

oh yeah,,,i also didn't spend that much for mine either though,,,guess it's because they don't have that name printed on them

I think i spent like $40 for the pair for mine, through Ebay as well :D

oh, i see why now,,,,those are 210 watt lights,,,,much brighter than mine, mine are only 100 watt units, and don't have/need that cooling airflow box,,,,,,but still even with the 100 watt units, they are bright as hell.

I had some of those way back when holy crap bright. You do need to be moving though. I actually sold mine cause they got so hot they melted my plastic grille.

Personally, IMO, you really don't need to spend that kind of cash on lights, as mentioned, you really need to be rolling for these to "last"

I only have the standard housings with 100 watt each lights, and trust me, combined with the high beams, they really are bright enough.

Plus i don't really need to worry about burning up the housings or anything around them while sitting and lights on.:D

IMO..... Just use a few sets of the HF lights. 9 bucks a pair. They are not the best or the brightest, but they are great for a cheap bastard like me. I keep a spair pair in the truck in case someone else needs em. As rock lights, who cares if you break a set?
