gmc4cw is going to pick up the tire the next day's or so.

In the mean time I am trying to find a rim for that tire. I want the same rim I have now, but seems to be a little difficult though.

T.A.
Post a picture of your rims. I'll look around over here. Shipping from here should be ok but if your not in a hurry I'll be out there in December!:D

@metrodps
I'd be satisfied when I have the desired rim in my hand ;) perhaps it's same with your wife *lol*

but I must first measure the backspace of the wheel since I found there are different setups for the 10x15 spoke wheel. I checked up with summit. U.S.Wheels and Cragar have those, but also ProComp. At the end I just need the same wheel, but not in chrome since I'm going to paint it.

Psss wann buy some tyres?

They only have about 8000 miles on them, so I`m guessing 70% tread left, but I will measure them and take pics....I`m selling them to get something better for the mud....Make an offer

Pics to follow.....

they are 33's but I need a 35'

Yea but if the price was right your next set five years from now!:haha:

no no no, it must be 35's for the next couple of years. And if the truck is then still alive and in my hands, I will maybe go for 36's boggers. I love their aggressiv tread.

:deal: Oh come on :deal: you know you want them :deal: We can float them over. :haha:

Too late. I already picked up the tire. The guy is selling the other 4 now.

I noticed that, too. What a weird way to list things on eBay. :thinking:

No, I am still trying to figure out how to make it smaller. It over the size limit. I have tried strapping it some different ways. its gonna be close.

I'm in troubles now....
Recently and just by accident, I got to know that, our f****ng Government made an unbeliefable law back in 2005 (but did not announce a single word so far), that an overall ban from driving for all trucks, registered before 1992 in Austria and owned by privat people (not companies) will take effect by 01.01.2008! So my truck is effected from that stupid regulation.

I had two options.
1. keep my truck, continue driving and risk a forfeit and a final close-down which would push down the value of my truck almost to zero (I spent about 7800 USD into the truck), or 2. to sell it quickly and get at least the money back I invested. It took me some sleepless nights but finally I had to choose the most reasonable choice for me...I sold the truck.

gmc4cw invested so many time and effort to help me with the tire story for nothing...

@gmc4cw
I cannot send you mails, your provider seems to block my domain however. If you cannot send it by regular post, I must give up since I cannot efford to spend another 280 usd for postage. You still get some $ for gas etc. please let me know how much and I paypal you again.

@all
is there anybody who needs that tire?????

If noone can use that tire I'd try to resell it on ebay, not quite sure if gmc4cw will play along with me once again...

I still cannot quite believe how such a robber-knight beheavour of our government can be legal and have no impact on them...:mad: :mad: :mad:

Thomas told me about this ban on all vehicles registered before 1992 via an email. I was disgusted that a government could just eliminate all older vehicles just like that. I thought I had it tough here where, today, they are expected to announce that our 'road tax' is going to more than double on 4x4s Taking it to around $700 a year.
I can understand them bringing in legislation against new vehicles because you would at least then have a choice as to whether you'd still buy that vehicle knowing that it was going to cost you 'x' amount a year to run, but to backdate this crap is unbelievable. It would seem that in Austria, at the end of the year, all older vehicles will be worthless. Over here the value of them will plumett as many people just won't/can't pay this sort of tax on top of already paying $7 a gallon.
I've got 2 4x4s, 3 cars and 3 bikes on the road at the moment. That's about $2000 tax.....and I can only drive/ride one at a time so it's an ownership tax not a useage tax.
Screw these governments.
And how does taxing my arse improve the enviroment? Just because the government gets richer is it going to reverse the natural cycle of global warming? I think not.

I really feel for you Thomas, that sucks having to sell your truck like that.

now I know why I haven't heard from you. You know I will help in any way I can. I get some pics on here for you.

Seriously?! They're banning ALL vehicles before 1992 model year?! How is that possible? I take it that the ban would include old BMWs, Ferraris, Aston Martins, etc.? How did a law like that get passed? I tried a Google search and could not find any details at all on it...

All trucks he said. I don't know about Austria, but in Germany most of our trucks would be utterly illegal to drive anyways...rust, mismatched paint, etc. If Austria's criteria is similar to Germany, it's going to be very few people who are effected by this simply because of all the existing problems with owning one.

You don't see many trucks over there at all in the first place. Certainly not "clunkers" (cars or trucks) like here.

I know that the Austrian said trucks but I wasn't totally sure since Mark had worded it differently in his post above.

I (as I'm sure 99.9% of US members here) would be devastated if legislation like that somehow came to be passed in the states. But don't see that happening anytime soon. Even though it's not happening here it hurts just reading about things like that :mad:
