anyone ever enter four wheelers top truck challenge

The experience is worth going at least if you get a great group of guys there. I guess the year before I went several guys came with a I am going to win attitude and the guys I talked to said it didnt' make for much fun. For anyone.

The year I went everyone was awesome, just glad to be there, some were certainly there to win but everyone was just flat out awesome. Trucks that broke everyone offered to help fix them. I spent 1 night working on the truck I was there with and 2 nights working on another guys truck, plus a lunch break where virtually everyone was helping one guy change his front rig and pinion.

Last year was pretty cool from what I hear too.

It is definitely worth the experience you should enter Shawn you really should. If not this year then next for sure.

And trust me in years past the field of competitors in not nearly what I would have picked

I will bring my A game if I get in, really is there any other game.

I have wheeled with some very high dollar rigs on some very tough trails. I can keep up pretty good with all of them. I would certainly like to have more power more flex and all that good stuff but its not in the cards for me

So I will run what I brung.

I wasn't trying to attack you Shawn, just the way I read it came across maybe differently than you intended it. I can see your point though, and I do believe that if blazin got in to the final 10, you can bet he would do everything he could to win it. At least that's the impression I got when I met him, and I know I would love to see you get in there as well, although it would probably scare the spectators away.

They would just need to enlarge the "safe zone" a bit:D

I also have not met the guy, so my view could be slanted with doubt.

I will admit, all this talking about it really has me wanting to fax in my application:crazy: Ill be doing the local tuff truck here in a month or so so Ill get my fix with that i suppose.

Not that I need another kick a rig to lessen my chances even more.

But you should enter, now get to it :D

Once again I have never met you but the safe zones are pretty big Clay in the Warthog was ummmmmmm lets just say he gets very very angry when he drives, you don't want to see him angry. Tons of fun to watch him for sure

I am sure I would be boring to watch, I am a pretty methodical driver although I have been known to get it when the time arises

At the very least you would put on a good show.:haha:

as fun as it looks like it would be theres no way i would enter my rigs in it.not worth the potential damage to me.

I entered it, I figure I'll just take my doors off and trash the body, then after swap on a crew cab body

But that is just dreaming since I doubt I would get in, the thoughts are pretty fun though lol

I like pic #4 and i have nothing else helpful. But I sure as hell will vote for you! :thumb: That goes for anyone on this forum with the balls to take their rig to top truck :D

Hell ya Eric go for it....I've been watching Corey plastered all over the mags ect...glad to see some local boys gettin some print....his durango rocks!! The truck looks great simplicity sometimes holds up better. Fuel injection vs the other will help also.... your basic fuel injected motor will be less problematic than a carbed built to the hilt big block (like mine, very problematic)....I'll be watchin for ya...love the pit bulls:saweet:

Seriously I am dreamin too. My chance of getting voted in are well small. IF I even make it in the mag

I think everyone will get in just like last year

Thats another reason, get to see your truck in the mag :D

I might have to get a few copies :haha:

Most mags prefer a 3/4 photo ( front and side ). They also prefer no driver in the picture and the rig in a contorted pose. Several of the pictures almost qualify. It would look better if the dents didn't show. Your truck has real potential. Good luck.

I really dont think its that far out of reach man. we have what, 50k members on here? if 1/8th of us voted for you you would make it. Plus you are the underdog, still runnig leafs, not high dollar mods and a simple set-up and is not a pro, sponsered, shop build. people love that.

agree I am tired of seeing overbuilt rigs that people buy turn key and dont have much seat time in and put on a boring show.

It would be really difficult to get the dents in my truck not to show. Cause its got alot of dents. :D

I really can't guarantee I will put on an impressive show. I wheel it hard but you got to finish to win.

I think I will have a huge advantage over some folks cause I wheel alot in alot of different terrain. My spotter drives a very similar truck and we have been wheeling together for several years.

If I get in I hope alot of "WHAT how the hell did he make it over through under etc that!?"

one thing i noticed you dont have is a snorkel of somkind. you will need it for the 4ft, 5ft and 6ft water holes on tank trap

I think youve got a shot. some of those rigs that compete have been really basic too, and some of the guys who enter have had such extreme POS trucks I dont know why the mag lets them enter.

Personally, I think you got a good chance and the underdog aspect might help alot. I would love to see a CK5 er get into this.
