Yes. They even say on the box that they will warranty them if they are installed wrong.

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I have seen the warranty too - no ??? asked. So they will fix it if you manage to break the gears themselves.
Don't know about the gears themselves.

They are a stand alone company. I sell those gears. As far as I know they are fine.

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I have been running there 4.56s for a couple of years now with no problems . They are sold by 4WPW and came with a good warranty .

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I have been using 4.56 genuine gears in my 10 bolt front and 12 bolt rear axle for almost a year now with zero problems. The warranty only covers the ring and pinion, not the installation or bearings or anything else that fails because of the gears failing. I got mine for $109 per set from "gears 4 less" which is part of 4wpw but their prices are cheaper... go figure?

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I had a set from 4WPW for some 4.56 gears that I installed into a 14FF. Turns out after I installed everything to the pinion support housing and the carrier halves, the ring and pinion teeth would not mesh.
Turns out 4WPW sent me the standard thickness gears for the 4.56 carrier case. I had a 4.10 carrier case and needed the extra thick gears.
Since everything was already torqued and bolted up, 4WPW said "send them back, we will exchange them for the extra thick gears."

That, my friend, is good service by an otherwise and sometimes lousy business. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Got any contact info?? I searched on the web, but didn't find anything. For $109 a set, I could afford to swap out my 3:73's all at once!

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I currently have a set of 4.88's in my 14FF. They worked great for the 1 block I drove it.

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

ive had the 4.88s in my 10b and 14b for almost 2 years and no problems here.

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I have 4.10 f/r..my first attempt at setting up diffs...no problems at all, using a (as Desktop Dyno says) 445 horse BB chev. Couple years now, no problems.

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting the Phone number for this company or web address so if you have it would you PLEASE help out a fellow K5'r and give it up so we can all get some good gears for a steal of a deal! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

The gears I installed in my Project CJ were manufactured by Quality Gear, purchased from the Gear center, the box they came in said Quality/Genuine gear. I am still not done my project so can't comment on longevity, but they look beefy. I went with 4.11:1 gears, didn't want to sacrifice my road speed any further. Going with Teralow 3.15:1 gears in my Dana 20 T/C so didn't need any lower diff gears. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: anyone ever heard of \"genuine\" brand gears?

the phone number on my reciept is 1-888-432-7656 "ask for Mike." And I lied, the gears were $109.60, not $109 /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I can't remember what magazine I saw thier ad in, but just say that you saw the "gears 4 less" ad and they will hook you up.
