I picked mine up in a 79 K10 with 6" of lift rolling on 38" swampers. It took me and another man to get it in there. You are only talking 600-650 pounds here. If you do it one side at a time, it is not that bad. Worst part is finding a good hand hold. If you are concerned about it, get a trailer. I don't see the cargo area of a blazer having that kind of space anyway.

Were done.We did it today. Good post for someone who is wonering how to do this now though. We did it with ease in probobly less than 10 minutes....in shorts, sunglasses, and flip flops lol. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif "The Cali Way" i guess lol /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Complete childsplay with the engine hoist. So guys, use an engine hoist,it will be alot easyer. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif*Peice of cake*. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Glad u got it moved. Ther is NO WAY I would attempt to lift a D60 by hand. Had 1 hernia operation already and have no desire to have another. Engine hoist all the way or find a different way to move it. Min egot moved with wheels on and rolling onto a trailer

I know this post is a little old, but hey I am running behind /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif. Hey Brian, I know how heavy that D60 of yours is, should have seen me, John and two other 90#'ers trying to carry that beast 35 feet to the truck and hoist it up /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif. My wife's poor Nissan Frontier that she had at the time looked terrible, it was squatted all the way down to the bumpstops with the 60,14 and both bumprs in it, I dorve home a 35 MPH, any faster it started getting scary /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif. Mt back hurts just thinking about it /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif.

I don't know the weight fully loaded but I know it's friggin' heavy. I brought mine to be sandblasted by myself and in order to move it by myself I tore it completely down (bare housing). If you pull the calipers, tie rod, and hubs off, remove the axles, two guys should be able to lift it. The only things left that was more than I lifted would be the "C"'s and ring and pinion (which are heavy pieces but not more than the weight of a housing). Trust me, I'm not that big or strong either, 5' 11" 185lbs and average build, so removing those items should drop enough bulk to allow two guys to do it.
